In The First Descendant, a new update is supposed to improve many aspects that still need enhancement in the shooter. This includes farming items and how to deal with AFK farmers and freeloaders.
What are the issues? The biggest problems currently in The First Descendant are AFK players while farming and the sorting of items obtained through farming – this is still somewhat unclear.
The team behind The First Descendant has therefore planned a hotfix for Tuesday, August 13, 2024. This is intended to address exactly the issues we mentioned and even more. You can find the planned changes from the developers in the following section.
Chef talks about upcoming changes
What will change? The developers have discussed upcoming changes in their Dev Note vol.11. Minseok Joo, Director of The First Descendant, goes into detail and explains what you can expect:
- In Special Operations, AFK players will immediately be selected “Abort” after completing the first stage, so they can leave the round.
- In Void Fusion Reactors, more ammunition should drop, and the HP of enemies should be reduced.
- The intervals of monster spawns at Void Fragments in “Echo Swamp – Derelict Covert” will be shortened.
- Adjustments to Infiltration Operations on Hard Mode:
- “Grappling Hook Disabled” and “Jump Disabled” can no longer be selected.
- The option to select everything will not be disabled when you make changes afterwards.
- There will be even more changes in Season 1, focusing on eliminations.
- Farming of items should be improved:
- Icons should indicate how strong an item you found is.
- This way, you can scan your loot faster and better, knowing what you want to keep and what you don’t.
- Restarting is now easier and more relaxed for Intercept Battles, Special Operations, and Infiltration Operations.
- The options “Restart with Squad” and “Restart Alone” should be available.
- The difficulty of the “Frost Walker” should be simplified so that it can be completed easily with random teammates.
These were the most important changes regarding the upcoming patch.
When will the patch notes be released? Besides the blog post, players are also waiting for the official patch notes. These will most likely be released next week in line with the patch.
