To find friends in The Finals, you need the so-called Embark ID. We show you where to find it and how to change your name.
What is the Embark ID? The Embark ID is the unique identification number of all players. It is a kind of individual username, consisting of a name and four numbers, separated by a hash as a delimiter.
The number is needed to add other players as friends. We have explained how to do this in our guide.

How to find the Embark ID in The Finals
Where can you find the Embark ID? The Embark ID is somewhat hidden in the social menu of the game. To access it, go to the main menu of the game, where you land right after starting the game.
You must not be in-game for this. In the main menu, click on one of the plus signs to the left or right of your character to open the social and friends menu. There, you can find your Embark ID at the top next to the word “Interaction”.
Where else can you find the Embark ID? The Embark ID can also be found on the website of the creators of “The Finals”, Embark. Simply go to this website of Embark and log in with your regular account.
If successful, you should see your display name immediately. This always corresponds to the Embark ID in the game.
Can the Embark ID be changed? The display name can be changed every 10 minutes and can consist of letters and numbers.
The numbers after the hash are not changeable. However, you can use hyphens, underscores, and periods for your name, but not more than one special character consecutively.
