A new content update has gone live for Black Desert, featuring the most challenging hunting zone to date, the new season of the “Black Desert Academy,” and an important story finale.
What exactly does the new update bring? The new patch for Black Desert is 3.39 GB large and includes a total of 291 adjustments or innovations. Highlights include:
- You can now explore the Orzekia field monster zones. These are said to be the most challenging hunting areas in the open field to date. There, you can expect a fresh main quest centered around Orze, the fourth protagonist of Atoraxion.
- The current saga is set to reach its climax on March 27, 2025, with the final boss fight of the Atoraxion story.
- A new season of the Black Desert Academy has started, which is expected to run until June 12, 2025. This season provides you with a permanent “+1,000% combat XP boost.” New and returning players who reach level 60 with a seasonal character will receive a selection box “(V) Boss Armor Piece” and two Radiant Chests from the beginning.

How do I start in the new zone? To enter Atoraxion: Orzekia, you can either interact with Sol-Magia in the Ancient Stone Chamber (regardless of whether you have completed Vahmalkia, Sycrakia, or Yollunakia before) or use the gate from Elribta in the gardens of Vahmalkia (Garden of Vaha), Sycrakia (Garden of Syca), or Yollunakia (Garden of Yolu) in the respective fortresses.
Note: The last fortress of Atoraxion, “Orzekia,” is divided into the difficulty grades General and Elvia. In General, you can accept the new proposal quests. In Elvia, you’ll go to the fresh field monster areas. You can find all further details in the official patch notes on playblackdesert.com.
