A streamer that hardly anyone expected is currently conquering the German Twitch: The actor Alexander Duszat, aka “Elton”, became known as the sidekick of Stefan Raab and is a German television legend.
Who is this? The German entertainer Alexander Duszat is probably better known to most by his stage name “Elton”. The now 52-year-old became famous as Stefan Raab’s sidekick on TV Total.
On the side, the TV legend is also currently the most-watched German streamer of the shooter Rainbow Six Siege on Twitch.
“How can all this be real?”
What’s happening? Since mid-August 2023, the actor, who describes himself as a “sometimes” gamer, has been streaming on the channel Elton_on_Twitch. There, various games can be seen, but primarily the tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege, which he streams from his PS5.
While initially only a few people watched, Elton now has over 16,000 followers on the streaming platform. He is currently even the most-watched German Twitch streamer of the shooter. On average, over 1,314 viewers tuned in to him in recent days (via sullygnome, as of: 13.10.2023).
What is there to see? Admittedly, Elton does not necessarily impress with his gaming skills. And in terms of image quality, the spoiled viewer of large streamers may be used to something else. However, the 52-year-old can shine in terms of entertainment and high-profile guest stars.

The online presence of Elton comes as a complete surprise to some, yet the 52-year-old had already announced his plans earlier in the year in a podcast: “I thought to myself, if I game, I can record that on the side and then others can watch me freak out.” (via Tag24)
Back then, Elton also admitted that he didn’t actually know how to start a Twitch channel and what all was needed to stream. This might also explain why the image and sound quality are still a bit hit and miss at the moment.
However, Elton is already working on solving these little problems and is not doing things by halves: He is skipping FullHD altogether and streaming directly in 4K (via X).
Content creators are generally seen as the “new celebrities”. Nevertheless, there seems to be a certain fascination for many when traditional celebrities like actors or musicians come out as gamers.
