Yesterday at 12 PM the servers for the head start of the fantasy MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online went live. During the night, the first milestones were already reached. In a PvP campaign, a new Empress was crowned. And the first hero has already reached level 50.
Both players are apparently French and belong to guilds that have strongly supported them in their plan.
French player reaches level 50 after 17 hours of continuous play
While you were probably blissfully lying in your beds or struggling to quest from level 13 to level 14, there was a commotion in France
The character Jake Shelton, a wizard with an impressively bushy moustache, reportedly reached level 50 around half-past five according to his guild War Legend. Now the tasks of the other two factions are still waiting for him. The player logged a /played time of just over 17 hours and 34 minutes. So he has – surprise, surprise? – played through. Whether he was really the first level 50 or if someone else beat him to it will surely be revealed in the coming days.
Details about the exact methods remain undisclosed. The guild’s message suggests that he had a rush partner by his side and was supported by the entire guild to be the first to break through the level 50 barrier.
On the Reddit forum, rumors are circulating about dark dealings known from numerous other MMORPGs, which have something to do with grinding, AoE attacks, tagging, and similar devilry. Malicious tongues also claim that large quantities of coffee and croissants were involved!
Experienced PvP alliance storms the fortresses
About the same time, as Jake approached level 35, the guild alliance Vae Soli likely placed the first emperor on the EU megaserver. The guild apparently coordinated beforehand to reach level 10 as quickly as possible in order to tackle the mission “New Queens Needed” together. As reported by the French website of a participating guild, the Vae Soli alliance began their assault on the fortresses of their opponents in the early evening hours while they were probably still trying to summon their mounts. (Fun Fact: After a /stuck, that works again).
They quickly achieved initial successes and soon the Imperial City was in the hands of the Aldmeri Dominion. The character with the highest score was crowned Empress. The honor went to “Tiu.” This took place in the “Vifespoir” campaign – so it is not binding for anyone outside of this campaign. Therefore, there is still plenty of opportunity to strive for the imperial title in parallel worlds.
By the way, the guild alliance Vae Soli consists of a total of 10 guilds that have already gained PvP experience in other games.
