In the fantasy MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online, the Patch 1.2.3. brings new lighting conditions, the Crypt of Hearts, and enemy invaders into the supposedly protected starting zone of the PvP zone Cyrodiil.
The patch has been live in Germany for a few hours, in the USA since yesterday, and as was the case after the Orsinium update, reports from fans about issues and bugs are accumulating, although this time the issue reports are noticeably milder.
Interestingly, in the PvP zone Cyrodiil, players can “clip” through a certain point and thus enter the supposedly protected starting zone of the opposing factions. Especially in so-called “tilted” campaigns, where one realm dominates the others severely, these protected respawn zones were the last refuge of the defeated. The loss of this protection zone has led to complaints from fans. Zenimax is already on it and is considering deploying a hotfix.
The guards in front of the protected zones of the battlemaster have now been brought into the game with a hotfix. Around them, there are still numerous other flashpoints, as vampires seem to react even more violently to silver than usual.
These negative voices are countered by a generally positive tone regarding the changes to the graphics. A user posted a “before-and-after” image of the interior lighting of a cathedral on reddit. It looks very impressive.
