The fantasy MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) is set to receive a proper group finder tool with the DLC “Thieves Guild.”
There has been a lot of criticism regarding TESO’s group finder tool. The developers have always defended themselves quite sheepishly: Yes, we know. We are sorry. It is a temporary solution, soon you will get a “real tool.”
This “soon” will be reached next month. The goal is to allow players to get their “instant-action” in dungeons without much stress. They want to provide players a lucrative alternative to questing and ensure that the dungeons are well-populated.
In the past, TESO has often been criticized for making it unnecessarily difficult for players to actually play together. An accusation that has long bothered the developers.
Shorter wait times, higher rewards, fewer bugs
With the new group finder tool, players should be able to earn a daily reward when completing a dungeon in normal or veteran mode. For the first dungeon of the day, there will be a chest containing a blue set item from the Thieves Guild and a lot of experience points. If they continue after that, they will receive a green set item and a smaller experience boost for each completed dungeon.
Especially healers or tanks, who would otherwise find “normal leveling” too tedious, should be able to progress here. Heroes who currently lack quests are also likely to appreciate the change.
Players will be able to play together across alliances. “Complete groups” can also sign up and then teleport to a dungeon via the tool. And they have worked on reducing the wait time.
