The Elder Scrolls Online introduces the first stand-alone addon Morrowind, featuring a new class and battlefield arenas in PvP. Players were able to try both for the first time at PAX East 2017.
Black bears are actually harmless fuzzy creatures that just want to peacefully lick honey in their forest. But some specimens are ambitious. They make careers as fierce war bears and accompany Wardens in Morrowind, the first stand-alone expansion for ESO. There, they pose real problem and damage bears for their opponents, as they crush enemies with their thick paws.
ESO – The Bear Steps in the Battlefield
War bears particularly enjoy smashing other players in the also new PvP battlegrounds – at least, if we go by the visitors of PAX East 2017 in America. Morrowind could indeed be extensively tested there.
Many players naturally opted for the new Warden class and its friend, the bear. In one of the three skill trees of the Warden, the ultimate ability is indeed that of the Master Pet. The bear acts as a tank and damage dealer and stays in place until it is slain.
The bear and human (Elf, Khajiit, Orc, Argonian) smashed their way through opposing teams in PvP, and many a foe met their end not at the Warden’s weapon or ice magic but under the bear’s paws. Rather, at least in one map – the Quarry at the foot of the Red Mountain – opponents can be thrown into the lava with a targeted strike.
In the video embedded above, you can see some snippets of bear action from PAX East 2017, the reactions of visitors, and a few words from ESO head Matt Firor and Creative Director Rich Lambert. Enjoy watching! Morrowind is set to release on June 6, 2017, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
