Zenimax Online allows players of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online a first look at the update "Shadows of the Hist".
The new DLC will be released in two parts. In the DLC dungeon pack “Shadows of the Hist”, you will team up with a group of Argonians working for the Dark Brotherhood. Together with them, you will penetrate the group dungeon “Womb of Shadows”, where you must fight against renegade assassins threatening to plunge Black Marsh into chaos. The dungeon is designed for four players and at the end, you will be rewarded with a special mask.
Much to explore
In addition, you will venture into the “Ruins of Mazzatun”, also known as the “Riddle City” of the Argonian Xit-Xaht tribe. The tribe has enslaved other Argonians to work on a corrupted project meant to instigate madness among the lizard folk. Your task is to free the slaves and defeat the slavers. Four players will venture into the Ruins of Mazzatun. Both dungeons are also available in a veteran version.
Plenty of changes to the base game
The second part of the DLC is an update that will be available for the base game. This will introduce, among other things, tokens that allow you to change your appearance, race, and name in the game. Additionally, the trials in the Citadel of Hel Ra will be revised. Not only is a veteran version now waiting for you, but also the items and weapons that you can loot in these trials have been updated to the maximum level.
The console version of The Elder Scrolls Online will also receive a text chat that players have long requested. New hairstyles, embellishments, and body paints will be introduced in the Crown Store, and in Cyrodiil, the settlements of Harvestwitch, Vlastarus, and Bruma will be conquerable. Each settlement has three banners that need to be captured and held. One banner is unguarded, one is lightly guarded, and at the third, you will find many guards.
New for the PvP mode
If you conquer one of the cities, your alliance will receive an additional point where you can respawn in PvP after your demise. You will also gain access to city traders offering purple quality equipment for alliance points. Further changes that will be making their way into the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online with the DLC – including new styles, new item sets, improved facial expressions, and the ability to dye costumes – will be detailed at a later time. A release date for "Shadows of the Hist" has not yet been established.
