In the fantasy MMO The Elder Scrolls Online, a somewhat cryptic statement from a community manager is causing confusion. He hints that, alongside the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild, the Morag Tong, a guild of assassins, might also find their way to Tamriel soon.
It happened in the official German forum for The Elder Scrolls Online. A fan wanted to know if more factions would make their way into the game, which would then be associated with new skill lines – like the Warrior and Mage guilds so far. With the already announced Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild coming to the game, two are already known.
German Community Manager Speaks in Riddles
The German community manager Kai Schober had some fun and responded with a seemingly vague sentence:
There are still some organizations around that are more or less known apart from the existing guilds in Tamriel and that could still make it into the game.
Now it would be relatively unlikely for a community manager to write capital letters in such a wild manner. If you take the capitalized starting letters of this sentence together, you get “Morag Tong”: an assassin guild in Morrowind dedicated to the Daedric Prince Mephala. The Morag Tong is a legalized guild of assassins – corresponding contracts would certainly be exciting and bloody.
