The Fantasy MMO The Elder Scrolls Online is set to release Update 6 on the public test server tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27.
The update is expected to be 14 GB in size, which will be played on the test server tomorrow. And for those who are wondering what on earth they are bringing? A whole lot. The patch notes will be released tomorrow, but as a rough guideline:
- The Justice System, which gives TESO the “murder and robbery” component that so many are longing for
- The new Champion System, which is supposed to completely change endgame progression
- A new system for Suppliers
- and of course a whole lot more… including a complete rebalancing of the talents
The patch notes are expected to cover almost 70 pages by now, and we will likely get to read them tomorrow.
This patch will serve as a kind of “cornerstone” for the previous developments of TESO, and in March, the transition to Buy2Play is planned, followed by the port to consoles in June. Then, fans can expect more game content in the form of paid DLCs rather than major system changes in updates.
The maintenance work for the public test server is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM German time. It is expected to take several hours, as the patch is indeed that huge.
