In the fantasy MMO The Elder Scrolls Online, the Mammoth Update 6 is currently facing issues on the test server. It is originally scheduled for this week, but it might be delayed.
The Update 6 is still on the TESO test server at the moment and should be moved to the live servers this week. However, it is proving to be a hefty challenge. According to unofficial reports from the test server, the version is not yet ready for prime time, as it has too many bugs and issues, according to testers.
Officials have already stated that Update 6 will not come this Tuesday; that will be a normal maintenance. They are still trying to hold the date this week. However, it might also be possible that due to the “audio bug,” the massive update will need to be postponed to next week.
Quote from Community Manager Kai Schober:
The live patch was originally planned for the last week of February. However, it may be that the audio bug prevents this and pushes the patch into the first week of March.
Mein MMO thinks: Zenimax is under time pressure: The transition to Tamriel Unlimited and thus Buy2Play is scheduled for March 17. For that, they need the patch. However, a functioning one. In the past, TESO frequently encountered technical difficulties in the weeks following an update. Update 6 is now so massive that such difficulties are almost to be expected. Unfavorable, as from March 17 they certainly want to present themselves in the best light to new or returning audiences.
