The Elder Scrolls Online: Housing introduced – Create, create, build houses

The housing feature is one of the most anticipated by fans of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online and has now been introduced a little closer.

In the coming year, you will be able to acquire your own houses in the fantasy world of Tamriel. Zenimax’s Matt Firor explained that you must first embark on a quest during which you will receive an apartment. From there, you can then acquire other, larger houses. Each race will have various small, medium, and large buildings available for habitation. In total, there will initially be 30 different houses.

Everyone can own multiple houses

With in-game gold, it should be possible to expand your house to a larger version. As for the furniture you can use to decorate your home, you will be able to craft these yourself. A furniture crafting skill will be introduced for that purpose. Furthermore, you can sell your crafted furniture to other players. There should be hundreds of decorative items available to furnish your home as you wish. It will be possible to own more than one house. The houses are tied to the account.

Matt Firor did not confirm whether players will be able to enter the houses of other players when they are not there. However, there will definitely be the opportunity to invite other players to your home. This will be particularly interesting for guilds that can use houses as guild halls. A specific date for when housing can be expected has not yet been disclosed. However, it is expected to be in 2017. Matt Firor anticipates a release early next year.
