The Elder Scrolls Online allows you to customize your gear in the upcoming Update 16 and the DLC “Clockwork City”. You can find out how this works here.
Update 16 for The Elder Scrolls Online brings not only the DLC Clockwork City. In addition to the new region and the content found there, there is a new crafting system: Transmutation. This allows you to customize items to perfectly match your playstyle.
Build your weapons and armors with the properties of your choice
Transmutation in ESO is a process that allows you to equip your weapons and gear with the values you want. For example, imagine you found a sword that has the property “Charged”. But you want it to be “Infused”.
In the past, that would have been your bad luck. You would have had to grind until you found the property you wanted. With the Transmutation system, it will soon be easy to change the property to another.
The following conditions apply:
- Knowledge of the desired property for the corresponding item (you must have analyzed it)
- The required number of transmutation crystals
What are transmutation crystals?
You are guaranteed to receive the crystals needed for transmutation if you fulfill the following tasks:
- Daily first random dungeon
- Vows of the Undaunted
- Weekly Trial quests
- Leaderboards for Arena, Trials, and Battlegrounds
- Completion rewards for Alliance war campaigns
- Your first reward of the day at “Just Rewards!”
- Mahlstrom Arena (Veteran mode only)
- Dragonstar Arena (Veteran mode only)
With a bit of luck, you will still get crystals after the last boss in a dungeon or from the random group search after the first of the day.
Transmutation – Only in the house or in the DLC “Clockwork City”
Additionally, you must have access to a transmutation station. You can find this in the open world only in the Brass Fortress in the Clockwork City DLC. However, you can also set up a transmutation workbench in your home or use the workbench in someone else’s house as a guest. In this case, you can use transmutation without owning a house or the DLC.
Note: Transmuted weapons are no longer tradable and are bound to your account. You can only exchange the items with your other characters.
Clockwork City will be released on October 23 for PC and on November 7 for PS4 and Xbox One.
It’s worth getting into ESO, thanks to the Morrowind chapter, it now has over 10 million registered players.
