In The Elder Scrolls Online , the authors are currently working on the Dark Brotherhood – and the story about the assassins is said to be really good.
The “Dark Brotherhood” is one of the outstanding groups in the world of The Elder Scrolls. Next year, they are expected to be the main component of another DLC.
Players have high expectations for a quest line involving them in The Elder Scrolls Online. ESO Director Matt Firor knows this as well: “Anyone who has played The Elder Scrolls knows that the quests involving the Dark Brotherhood are probably the best content in the entire series.” It is a massive and intimidating task to meet this expectation.
At the moment, the authors are working on the design of the quests. They want to make them as open as possible. Firor continued: “Anyone who knows the quests knows that anything can really happen. We are working on cool twists, on different endings that depend on the players’ decisions.”
The Dark Brotherhood is expected to find its way to The Elder Scrolls Online in the second quarter of 2016. Before that, the Thieves Guild is up first. When asked how a “non-lethal” organization fits into the very lethal world of Tamriel, journalists from PCGamesN wanted to know from Firor: “I won’t reveal too much yet, but it mainly depends on where the Thieves Guild stands in the world. There are many factions in our world fighting each other, and there are some neutral factions. That will be the stage.”
