In The Elder Scrolls Online, the lockboxes that have caused so much excitement are now on the test server.
It was the topic of excitement in The Elder Scrolls Online in recent weeks: Lockboxes are to be added to the game, from which players can randomly draw rare mounts, pets, costumes, or other cosmetics. For example, there are supposed to be mounts included that were actually strictly limited and can no longer be obtained in any other way.
The lockboxes are essentially like a lottery; the main prizes are rare, and players never know what they will get when they buy one for 400 crowns. This has led fans to vent their frustrations on reddit and in the official forum for pages regarding this new idea from Zenimax. There is a “safeguard”: If players draw something from the lockbox that they already have, they receive crown jewels for it – which they can then exchange for items in the Crown Store.

Now that the excitement has subsided, the Crown Crates are on the test server. Everyone can find out for themselves whether these things are really the devil or maybe not as bad as initially feared.
