In the fantasy MMO The Elder Scrolls Online, smaller PvP arenas are being worked on, but “one-on-one” duels are not planned.
On the sidelines of the latest stream show of The Elder Scrolls Online, ESO Live, an interesting discussion emerged in the Twitch chat. A user wanted to know if a “one-on-one” arena was planned. The response from a ZeniMax employee: They are working on some options for small scale PvP; but none of these planned options is a “one-on-one”.
At release, ZeniMax ruled out PvP outside of Cyrodiil. However, they changed their mind when they saw how well a smaller battlefield they had prepared for expos was received.
Fans of one-on-one can perhaps receive their duels next year with the justice system.
Meanwhile, a mishap occurred yesterday in the USA in The Elder Scrolls Online: The relatively small patch 1.5.6, which was supposed to take care of bug fixes and primarily deliver audio files, required a 12 GB download. This was due to an error on ZeniMax’s part and was unintentional. This should not occur on the European mega server.
