The Elder Scrolls Legends: Online collectible card game will compete with Hearthstone

During E3, Bethesda Softworks presented the online collectible card game The Elder Scrolls Legends.

Those familiar with the genre will have no problem playing in The Elder Scrolls Legends as well. Because in terms of gameplay, it is not significantly different from, for example, Blizzard’s Hearthstone. You compete in card duels against other players or an AI and try to win as many games as possible.

Play your cards

Your collected cards come into play. Each card serves a certain purpose. Attack cards deal damage, defense can reduce this. In a battle, the aim is to defeat the opponent by ensuring they have no defense left. You then try to play the cards in your deck strategically but must always react to the constantly changing situation that arises when the opponent places a new card.

The cards are placed in two rows, and you need to ensure that you place your cards in the row where the opponent’s card is located that you want to “take out,” or through which you want to attack the opponent directly. By placing a card in a lane, you also protect it from the next attack. Therefore, you must play strategically and keep an eye on the entire field. Additionally, you must decide whether to attack the opponent’s cards or the opponent directly.

War against the Aldmeri

The Elder Scrolls Legends thus utilizes a somewhat expanded system that is supposed to be more tactical. Whether this is really the case will be seen when one can play the game themselves. There is also a campaign that you experience in single-player mode, which tells a story in which you must go to war against the new Aldmeri Dominion.
