On June 29, the first expansion “Heroes of Skyrim” for the online card game The Elder Scrolls Legends will be released, and fans are not very thrilled with some lore changes.
The good old lore in games. For many players, it is sacred and almost memorized. When there is something in a game that no longer fits this lore, the fans’ worldview becomes unsettled. Strong criticism has been voiced, as is currently happening with the online card game The Elder Scrolls Legends. With the upcoming expansion “Heroes of Skyrim,” dragons with four legs are making their way into the game!

Dragons with four legs? That’s not possible!
The existing lore of The Elder Scrolls only speaks of dragons with two legs. The wings essentially serve as front legs. This is how dragons have always been described and portrayed in The Elder Scrolls so far. However, with “Heroes of Skyrim,” dragons are introduced that have four regular legs in addition to their wings, which does not sit well with some fans of the RPG series!
The lore is sacred!
Reddit user ShiaLePork explains that only the Daedra Peryite temporarily appears as a dragon with four legs to annoy the regular dragons. However, the “Wildfire Dragon” on one of the new cards has four legs. Additionally, the card for “World Eater Alduin” shows a dragon with four legs, even though Alduin in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim only had two legs and looked entirely different than on the current card. Also, ShiaLePork is disturbed by the new “Dova of the Voice” card. Because the word Dova should actually be written as “Dovah” or “Dov.”
The developer studio Dire Wolf Digital has not commented on this matter yet, but they have previously responded positively to such criticism and made the appropriate changes to the cards. This could happen again, so lore-conscious players can soon sleep peacefully again.
