In March 2024, the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online is giving away the DLC Orsinium as part of the daily login rewards. We explain what the DLC is about and how you can get it.
Why is ESO so generous right now?
- Normally, the DLC “Orsinium” costs 3,000 crowns, which is equivalent to 21 euros.
- But ESO will be 10 years old in April 2024 and is therefore being generous.
- There are attractive gifts already in March.
This is the new DLC for ESO:
Those who log into ESO regularly in March 2024 will be richly rewarded
How do you get the DLC? You must log in on 2 different days in March to receive the prize. When exactly you do this doesn’t matter, the main thing is: you are online on two different days in March.
Is there anything else? Yes, throughout March 2024, Zenimax is being generous and distributing login gifts:
- After 7 days, there is the Seal of Endeavor
- After 14 days, the companion “Kargstein-Welwa”
- After 21 days, the “Iron Orc-Welwa”
Orsinium set the standard for DLCs in MMORPGs
Why is Orsinium so important? Today, The Elder Scrolls Online is a successful MMORPG. But in 2014, it was not the game many “The Elder Scrolls” fans expected, because they wanted a new single-player game. The MMORPG had many bugs at launch and a pretty ridiculous idea for the endgame: Players were supposed to replay the quests of other realms and “start over”.
ESO experienced a resurgence in November 2015 when Orsinium was released. It was well received at the time because hardly anyone expected so much depth from a DLC.
Orsinium brought 20 hours of storyline, a new large area, and an arena.
That was a clear sign that Zenimax was investing more time and money into ESO. Orsinium, along with Tamriel Unlimited, initiated a renaissance that has kept the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online popular to this day.
In later DLCs, Orsinium was repeatedly cited as the benchmark against which the new DLC must measure up.
