Many of you might already know that the controllable drone can be used as a flying bomb in Call of Duty: Warzone. However, a group of players has now discovered other innovative applications.
What can you do with the drone? The reconnaissance drone is one of the most interesting items in Call of Duty: Warzone, which is least utilized.
The field upgrade allows you to use a small reconnaissance drone for a certain period, with which you can spy on and mark enemies. However, to be able to use it, you have to lay defenseless in a corner and have no control over your character during this time.
Sometimes it can be really helpful if you want to capture enemies in an area. Generally, the gadget is rather considered one of the unpopular field upgrades, which are often transformed into a flying bomb. But the drone still has surprises in store.

What else can the device carry? A few clever players have now discovered that you can carry even more items around with it. These retain their full functionality but can float through the air. So far, C4 and Claymores were considered the best loadout for flying gadgets, but you can pack more:
- Ammunition box
- Armor box
- Trophy system
How does that look? The YouTube channel “DefendTheHouse” frequently posts so-called Mythbuster videos.
Here they verify rumors or check mechanics where it’s not quite clear what the limits of the possible are. And this time, the controllable drone was up for testing. Here is their English video:
How can it be used? You can turn the drone into a flying weapons depot, for example. This can be particularly helpful if your squad has split up a bit but wants to hold the current position.
One of you then launches the drone and a team member places an ammunition box on the device. You can then fly to your teammates, who can comfortably restock their supplies without having to leave their position. Theoretically, it even goes further – the drone has space for 2 boxes, and an armor box would also fit. However, you would need 3 team members for that, as each can only carry one field upgrade.

One box on the drone is then a flying bomb. Although the boxes don’t have a detonator like the Claymore and C4, a well-aimed shot at the supply will also cause a considerable explosion that knocks enemies into the downed state. If you fly close to an enemy team and your opponents spot the intruder, they might even harm themselves while trying to shoot the item out of the air.
Also interesting is the combination with a Trophy system. This is also shown by the two “Mythbusters” in the video above. During testing, an enemy gets too close to them, whom they want to remove from the path – of course, for his own safety. He fires an RPG at the Warzone scientists. However, the rocket is destroyed directly by the Trophy system, and the enemy is taken out by the nearby explosion.
But in the end, it’s more of a gimmick and falls under the category of “good to know, but rarely helpful.” But often it’s these little details that can save your behind in a tight situation. Here you can find more information about explosives in CoD MW & Warzone:
The drone has even more to offer
What about the Multiplayer of Modern Warfare? There are also some interesting possibilities here. For example, you can place the bomb on the drone in the Search & Destroy mode and fly over the map with it. However, the glitch is not gameplay-relevant, as enemies can still defuse the bomb even if it is not on the spot.
To do this, the Mythbusters first place a Trophy system on the device and then place the armed bomb on the camera bird. If you then destroy the Trophy system, the explosive package remains in place and can thus comfortably hover in the air.

How else can the drone help? Finally, we would like to show you another application of the drone that is very helpful when your supply boxes land in the Warzone on a difficult-to-reach spot. The floating device is strong enough to move loadout boxes.
If your teammate has placed the box skillfully on the roofs of the parking lot from the superstore, fly up with the drone and simply push the box down. This can save you a lot of time and makes the drone quite useful. Therefore, it might be worth taking such a device with you before you grab your loadout.
