Massive wants your opinion on the Dark Zone and the Rogue mechanics in The Division: How would you improve them?
The Division agents are currently looking at an uncertain future. Year 2 will not bring the anticipated content, such as raids, new story missions, or major expansions. Instead, only bug fixes and various features, like loadouts, are expected in the coming weeks. A larger content delivery is not expected until fall or winter, and hardly anything is known about it yet.
Many players are wondering: What have the developers been working on all year? There are speculations that Massive is already working behind the scenes on “The Division 2” or is putting together major expansions for year 3.
Several surveys regarding The Division have already indicated that the decision-makers wanted to know how players envision the future of the shooter, for example whether it should move to a completely new city or whether the story should continue seamlessly. Interesting questions were also directed towards the MMO shooter competitor Destiny: Ubisoft wanted to know what keeps you playing Destiny and why you still enjoy it.
Survey on the Dark Zone
A new survey has been live since last night. This time it focuses on the Dark Zone. The developers may be planning to revise it in the future or introduce meaningful innovations. Alternatively, they could be looking for inspiration for a “Dark Zone” concept for a potential sequel.
In the survey, you must first indicate which platform you play on and how often you play The Division and the DZ. Many questions revolve around the rogue system, including the mechanic that allows you to become rogue.
Do you often go rogue yourself? Do you enjoy hunting rogues? Then you should indicate what you like about the rogue mechanic and what you would improve. Furthermore, you can check the top 3 activities in the DZ that you particularly enjoy and those you hate (like cleaning landmarks, hunting agents, climbing leaderboards).

What the developers will ultimately do with this information is unknown. Whether a “new” rogue mechanic will come in year 2 seems rather unlikely. Time is probably too tight for that. But who knows what the future holds for the agents…
