In The Division, Update 1.2 is on the horizon. A patch will be available for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. We summarize all the important information you need to know about this.
When will the patch for Update 1.2 be released?
Little is known about Patch 1.2 so far. The update goes live on 24.5. on all platforms, but Massive has not yet announced what time the patch will be released and how they will handle server downtime. We also do not know how large the patch will be.
In Update 1.1, the patch was rolled out on Tuesday during a three-hour maintenance window. The servers were shut down at 9 AM, and the update went live at 12 PM. At this point, we assume that Massive will handle the “Konflikt” update similarly.
If there are any new updates, we will inform you promptly.
Update: As suspected: Maintenance will take place on 24.5. The patch is expected to be available at 12 PM.
What new features will come with the “Konflikt” update?
At the heart of the new update is the endgame group activity “Clear Sky.” Along with this new incursion, fresh features will be added to the Dark Zone. The open world will also be revitalized.
This is the incursion “Clear Sky”
“Clear Sky” sends you against the Rikers and takes place at Columbus Circle. Unlike “Falcon Lost,” you are outdoors and thus exposed to weather events. The recommended gear score is 160.
Agents everywhere will feel the brutality of the Rikers. You will need to devise a strategy to overcome this challenge. There will be a checkpoint.
The Challenge Mode of this incursion will, by the way, be available only a week later.
Changes in the Dark Zone
The PvP area of The Division, the Dark Zone, will receive new features. The developers want to keep the tension high in loot pickups: You will have to be careful with your loot even after you have attached it to the chopper’s rope. Other agents can cut the rope and seize your loot.
As soon as you press the button to cut the rope, you will be marked as rogue for 19 seconds. If you fully cut the rope – which takes a few seconds – you will reach a rogue level of 1 and receive a 90-second timer. During this time, you will be an easy target.
Moreover, a new class for agents with a gear score of 200+ will be introduced in the Dark Zone, supply drops will become more lucrative but harder to obtain, and “Sealed Caches” will be added: These contain random items such as Division Tech, DZ currency, high-end gear, and gear sets.
Before you can open these sealed containers, you must first extract them and pick them up at the base. With Update 1.2, there will be additional storage in the checkpoints of the Dark Zone.
In the open world, search and destroy missions and “High Value Targets” are coming
Once you have successfully completed all side missions and battles in an area of the open world, you can access the board for search and destroy missions in the safe houses. These new missions are intended to be diverse and scattered throughout the open world.
Upon completion, you will receive “Intel Tokens.” You need these to track High Value Targets. At the Operations Base, the “Daily HTV Officer” and the “Weekly HTV Officer” are waiting for you, where you can spend these tokens to activate the HVT missions. The most challenging missions will provide you with the best loot: high-end items valued at 204 and gear sets with 240.
Other changes with Update 1.2
In addition to these new game contents, agents can look forward to the following:
- Massive wants to be more generous with the loot, both in quantity and quality. Loot dropped by enemies should become the most profitable source for high-quality items. Both in PvE and PvP, you can expect the best loot. We have extensively covered the changes in loot here.
- Four additional gear sets will come to The Division. These are Final Measure, Hunter’s Faith, Lone Star, and Predator’s Mark. The equipment sets coming with Update 1.2 are presented in detail in this article.
- Four new named high-end weapons are coming: The M60 LMG Hungry Hog, the M1911 pistol Centurion, the SAIG A12 shotgun Medved, and the M1A sniper rifle Historian.
- “Toughness” is introduced as a new stat that takes health and armor into account. We have already dealt with “Toughness” in The Division here.
