There is a special event happening this weekend in The Division. Here’s how you can get the bonus loot!
If you are currently optimizing your build, now is a particularly good time to play The Division. Massive has launched a special event this weekend where you can earn double rewards.
What does the special event offer starting January 5?
- When does the event run? It takes place from January 5 at 1 AM to January 8 at 1 AM.
- What do you need to do? You need to eliminate named enemies.
- The rewards? You will receive additional bonuses when you kill named enemies.
The event is already active. In the game, it will appear on the overview map as a “Double Reward” event.
However, there is one catch: The bonus loot pool does not contain any secret gear sets. In other words, the chance for Classified gear, which is currently the best gear in The Division, will not be increased.

Events in The Division
Such weekend events with double rewards have occurred several times in The Division. The activities that trigger the bonus loot vary.
In addition to these weekend events, Global Events have also been taking place since summer 2017. So far, three Global Events have occurred. They bring temporary variation into the shared-world shooter with modifiers and new loot.
So far, The Division has skipped large-scale, thematic events, such as a winter event or an Easter event. Possibly, these are something to look forward to in 2018.
