When will the May Update 1.2 be released in The Division? This is a question currently on the minds of some agents.

Slowly but surely, more and more information about the upcoming “May Update” in The Division is trickling in. During the last situation reports during maintenance, the developers discussed a few game changes that agents can look forward to. However, a lot is still not known. The info that most agents are currently eager for is still missing: When will the “Conflict” Update be released?
What we know so far about the Update 1.2 “Conflict” in The Division
As early as March, Ubisoft outlined the Year 1 content for The Division. Since then, information about the “Conflict” Update has been scarce. Shortly after Update 1.1, the developers predicted that they would only talk about the May Update in detail once the April Update is performing as they envisioned it. For this, numerous bugs needed to be fixed first.
Even though The Division is still far from a bug-free game – especially cheats and hacks plague the PC version – hints about the upcoming update have been revealed in recent days. After all, there is a schedule that they want to adhere to. So far, here is what we know about “Conflict”:
- There will be a new raid, new challenge modes, new Dark Zone activities, and “much more”.
- Dark Zone: A new DZ bracket for agents with a gear score above 200 will be introduced, where enemies will range from level 32 to 34, and the loot will be best quality up to value 240. This value will remain the maximum limit. Furthermore, supply drops will be enhanced.
- PvE: The PvE area is also set to become exciting again: new activities will come, and existing content will be adjusted. Items will also be available up to GS 240. According to Hamish Bode, we can expect a lot from the area outside the Dark Zone.
- Loot: “Generosity” will be the new motto at Massive: the quality and quantity of drops will be increased.
- Balance: Armor pieces, gear sets, and mods will be revised. New equipment sets will be introduced. Extensive weapon rebalancing will only take place after the Conflict Update.
- The “hit points” will be replaced by “Toughness” in the future. This value is intended to reflect health, stamina, and armor value equally.
- The armor maximum will be increased from 65% to 75%.
- The wallet will be expanded, allowing you to carry 2000 instead of 1000 Phoenix Credits.
- Numerous bugs and issues will be fixed. Especially those requiring a client-side patch can be resolved. Additionally, further adjustments will be made to the game.
- Massive wants to rigorously test the May Update through intense testing processes.
When will the May Update be released in The Division?

Currently, there is no official release date for Update 1.2. However, this must change very soon if Massive wants to stick to the plan and release the May Update still in May. If we assume that the update is scheduled to be deployed during weekly maintenance, only two dates remain in May: May 19 and May 26.
May 19 will likely come too early: So far, the developers have hardly spoken about the specific game content of the update. What will the raid be like? What new activities will come in PvE and in the Dark Zone? What do agents have to do?
With Update 1.1, Massive held a “Special Report” via Twitch on a Friday, during which the developers talked for about an hour about the activities of “Incursions”. This took place on March 31, and the April Update was then released on April 12.
So far, no “Special Report” has been announced for the May Update, and the information available is too scarce for a release to be deemed likely this coming Thursday.
However, there is not much time left until May 26 to unveil the details. After all, the developers promised to report extensively on the update before it is released. Nevertheless, as of today, May 26 is considered the most likely release date.
In any case: The next few days will be exciting. The Division is about to enter turbulent times, during which there will be changes and new content. Who knows, perhaps Massive will coolly announce after the maintenance next Thursday: “Surprise! Update 1.2 is live. Have fun with it.”
