There is new information about the upcoming Update 1.2 “Conflict” in The Division.
In today’s State of the Game, Community Developers Hamish Bode and Yannick Banchereau discussed some changes that will be implemented with Update 1.2 in The Division.
More storage is yet to come
According to Banchereau, the team is currently working on expanded storage options. An increased storage for agents brings some problems that need to be resolved first. Server aspects and database aspects must be considered.
Because: The more items agents have in storage, the more traffic there is on the server. To avoid server overloads, developers must take additional precautions. Changes will only be made after Update 1.2. Until then, the storage size remains as it is.
A change regarding storage will come with the May update: So that you don’t always have to leave the Dark Zone to browse your storage, it will now also be available within the PvP area.
Weekly missions will be rescheduled
A change in the upcoming update concerns “Operation ISAC”, the weekly missions. These will now refresh every Thursday. The video that Ubisoft releases alongside these tasks will also be published on Thursdays.
Furthermore, the rewards will change: Previously, there were 30 Phoenix Credits, with which many agents were dissatisfied. In the future, there will be exclusive cosmetic items as a prize. Details are not yet known.More information about Update 1.2:
- At the moment when you cut the rope of the heli in the Dark Zone, you will be marked as rogue. This means you become an easy target for other agents. You must carefully consider whether you want to take the loot.
- The supply drops will be harder to snatch: Previously, agents could simply slip by enemies with individual skills and grab the supply drops. This is expected to change with the update.
- The damage of sniper and shotgun NPCs at level 34 will be adjusted. Their current damage output is apparently too high, which makes the tank stats not pay off as Massive intends.
- Numerous smaller adjustments will take place. For example, the “rag picking” will be revised.
- Additionally, Banchereau reports that a wave of permabans has been issued. Some cheaters who returned after a 14-day ban and continued to cheat were permanently banned.
The update will be released next Tuesday, May 24th. Here you can find more information about “Conflict” in The Division.
