Changes are coming to PvP in The Division. Massive is inviting a second “Elite Task Force”.
The State of the Game just aired on December 8th. Community developers Hamish Bode and Yannick Banchereau announced two important things during the livestream: Information about update 1.6 and a client patch for next week.
Update 1.6 will bring major changes to PvP and the Dark Zone. They are again inviting an “Elite Task Force” to discuss the changes.
For update 1.4, an Elite Task Force was invited to Sweden to discuss the biggest problems and most important changes. The ETF consisted of representatives from the community – not only large YouTubers and streamers but also “regular” agents.
It will be the same this time. Soon you can apply via an online form. You must be 18 years old, available from January 11th to January 13th, and allowed to enter the USA. Because this event will not take place in Sweden, but in North Carolina, where, according to Bode, most developers are currently working on PvP in The Division.
What new features and balance changes to PvP will come is still unknown. After 1.4 and 1.5 brought nothing new in this regard, it has now been confirmed: Massive is planning something for the future.
Bug Fixes and FAMAS Issue
Next week, a client patch for PC will be available, fixing numerous bugs. Performance and stability issues will especially be addressed. Many concerns from the community have been read, and they will be dealt with in the coming week. A specific date is yet to be confirmed.
Massive is also working on the problems on consoles – however, no fix is available yet.
Furthermore, they are discussing the FAMAS issue: If the second assault rifle has stability or precision mods and the FAMAS is equipped with the AlphaBridge talent, the mods on the secondary weapon affect the Uncomplicated talent. This should not be the case. You can read more about the FAMAS here.
