In The Division, the release date for update 1.4 is getting closer. Massive has now teased the main new features and changes.
The October update 1.4 is approaching. While there is still no concrete launch date, signs are pointing to the fact that the developers can meet “October”. Most likely, we will learn in tomorrow’s State of the Game (13.10.) when the patch will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In recent weeks, they have consistently said that they unfortunately cannot provide a date yet. Last week, however, they stated that update 1.4 is now almost complete, with only minor adjustments remaining.
Update: There will be no State of the Game tomorrow! Instead, an article from Massive is expected to be released.
Update 1.4 is full of changes
Massive has now published a GIF via Twitter listing all the new features of the update. They also want to know which one you are most excited about:
The new features include:
- World Tiers: In the endgame, you can select world tiers, determining the level of enemies and the score of your loot. Read all about the world tiers here.
- Weapon Tuning: Work is being done on weapon balance.
- Gear Set Tuning: Almost all gear sets will be revised.
- Loot System: The loot system will be completely overhauled. There will be all gear sets for everyone!
- The respawn of named enemies: The open world will be enhanced. You can eliminate named enemies, like Bullet King, every 4 hours and thus have a high chance for good loot.

- Time to Kill and Time to be killed: Your agents will become more powerful: They will deal more damage to enemies and can take more damage themselves.
- Solo Experience: Activities scale in difficulty based on the size of the squad. For example, the challenge mode should also be achievable solo.
- Banshee: The B.L.I.N.D. set will be replaced by Banshee. This is a pure PvP set.
- Gear Buyback and Lock: You can buy back items that you accidentally sold. Or completely lock them for sale.
- Field Proficiency: This term refers to the feature that keeps experience important even in the endgame. With XP, you fill a bar: When it is full, you receive a sealed container.

- 229 Blueprints: Depending on your world tier, you will also have access to blueprints with the maximum gear score. This will also enhance crafting.
- “Quality of Life” fixes: Additionally, numerous other improvements are being made to make life in the post-apocalypse more pleasant. For example, with 1.4 you can run into the terminal at “the stairs”!
All these changes will come as a free update for all agents on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
