In the shared-world shooter The Division, we present the changes to the explosive and incendiary ammunition that the underground update will bring.
In the last State of the Game, Ubisoft Massive discussed a variety of changes with update 1.3. They also addressed the special ammunition that is to be adjusted.
This is how explosive and incendiary ammunition changes in The Division
Both special ammunition types will receive “significant nerfs.” They will each be weakened by about 75% in terms of effectiveness, according to Massive.
- Incendiary ammunition: The burn effect lasts shorter as it currently lasts longer than that of a fire grenade.
Update: The duration will be reduced from 10 seconds to 3 seconds.
- Explosive ammunition: The explosive damage is now expected to be lower. This will scale 1:1 with the damage of the bullet. Depending on your build and “some other factors,” the ratio may also be a bit different. So far, the explosive damage is a multiple of the “normal” bullet damage.
With these changes, the Reclaimer set in The Division probably won’t be as overpowered as initially feared. This will give the entire team the effect when a consumable (including special ammunition) is used. Furthermore, the ammunition will not be consumed, allowing it to be activated again immediately.
What do you think about these changes to special ammunition?
