In The Division, Update 1.3 is set to release tomorrow, on July 5th, on PlayStation 4. What changes for PS4 agents?
For about a week now, the Underground DLC with Update 1.3 has been live for PC and Xbox One. While the content of the expansion will not be available to PS4 users until August 2nd, Update 1.3 was supposed to launch simultaneously on all platforms. However, on Sony’s console, the patch has been delayed by a week. Tomorrow is when it is supposed to happen.
Update 1.3 for PS4 – What’s coming, what’s not?
When the delayed patch can be expected to release on PS4 was initially unclear. Just a few days ago, Massive announced that July 5th would be the cut-off date. We summarize clearly what will change for PS4 players starting tomorrow – and what will not.
What PS4 agents have to wait for until August 2nd
- Underground Missions: The entire underground area remains closed. The high replayability operations cannot be started yet.
- Drachenhort: In the new raid Drachenhort, PS4 agents must also stay out for another month. This is currently considered the best Incursion in terms of loot and fun.
- New Gear Sets: Players must also wait until August 2nd for four new sets. These include the B.L.I.N.D., DeadEYE, FireCrest, and Reclaimer sets.

What PS4 agents receive with Update 1.3
- AlphaBridge Gear Set: While PS4 players have to wait for four sets, at least one is available to them, the AlphaBridge set.
- New High-end Weapons and Weapon Types: From July 5th, all new weapons can be obtained, including the Showstopper, the G36 assault rifles, and the Paratrooper SVD.
- Two new missions receive the Challenge Mode: Hudson Refugee Camp and Queens Tunnel Camp.
- Heroic Mode: The new highest difficulty level is selectable in some missions and in the two old raids.
- Weapon Upgrade: With Update 1.3, players can reroll weapon talents.
- All weapon balance changes.
- A new Dark Zone class with 231+ Gear Score.
- The inventory will be expanded to 70 slots.
- High-end Division tech can be exchanged for high-end crafting materials.
- Numerous bug fixes, including adjustments to the “Watch’s Call” and “Assault Gear of the Striker” set. You can find all new features and changes in the patch notes 1.3.

Additionally:
Each piece of equipment now has a fixed number of mod slots:
- Chest: 2 mod slots
- Mask: 1 mod slot
- Knee pads: 1 mod slot
- Backpack: 1 mod slot
- Gloves: 0 mod slots
- Holster: 0 mod slots, but they have all three attributes.
Furthermore, the patch notes state that with Update 1.3, starting tomorrow, PS4 agents will also receive the Operations Base expansion. The terminal is a new social area in the base, which you can reach via a very unpopular staircase or via fast travel. Here you will find vendors and access to Underground missions.
Beta Test for PS4?
In forums and comment sections, PS4 users often mention that the delays of Update 1.3 and the expansion are not a big deal. They say that Xbox and PC agents are testing for PS4 players, jokingly referring to a current “beta test phase”.
This comparison is actually not entirely wrong – after patch 1.3, some problems occurred, which the developers are currently working on. Some of them have already been fixed, others are still being investigated. For some, a fix is already ready.
So far, it is still not officially known when the patch will be released tomorrow. It is likely that maintenance will take place from 9 am to 12 pm. As soon as the servers are back online, the update will probably run. The developers might also use this downtime to push some fixes that PS4 agents will directly benefit from.
We will report on the specific procedure for installing the patch on PS4 by tomorrow morning at the latest. Possibly we will also update this article promptly.
Update: Patch comes tomorrow for PS4. Server downtime from 9 am to 12 pm. As expected.
