In The Division, information about the next expansion 1.3 “Underground” is scarce. However, there is still an event coming up during E3. Additionally, this is the Strategic Weekly Assignment on June 14.
It is indeed strange: During the yesterday’s press conferences at E3, Microsoft initially revealed a short trailer for “Underground,” which contained hardly any information. Later, Ubisoft released a top trailer for the upcoming update “Survival” and provided information indicating that the game would completely change with it.
We now basically know more about the distant future of The Division than about the near future. Because in just two weeks, expansion 1.3 is coming. We will link the previous information from E3 about the future of The Division at the end of this article.
When will more information about update 1.3 “Underground” in The Division come?
“Underground” will be released on June 28 for Xbox One and PC. PS4 agents will have to wait until August 2, as Microsoft and Ubisoft have struck a time-exclusive deal.
With Underground, the name says it all: The Division agents must descend into the tunnel networks beneath New York and stop the enemies before they gain control over the city from there.
The expansion will bring, in addition to new high-end gear, the following features according to the trailer:
- Randomly generated missions
- “Deadly Urban Dungeons”
Each encounter and battle in the Underground is said to be different. After each run, the rewards increase. The motto of “Underground” is: The Fight never ends.
No more information is currently known. However, this should change tomorrow morning around 5 AM our time. Then Ubisoft will hold a “Special Ops Event” during E3, where representatives from “Rainbow 6 Siege”, “Ghost Recon: Wildlands” and “The Division” will be on stage together.
As Massive informs via Twitter: At this event, there will be more information about “Underground”. We will report on it promptly, so that you are provided with reading material for breakfast tomorrow.
