In The Division the modes Underground and Survival were introduced months ago. Not much has happened with these DLCs since then.
The Season Pass, which includes the three major DLCs Underground (Underground), Survival (Survival) and Last Stand (Last Stand), has been criticized countless times. Because it did not deliver many things that the agents would have expected from an expansion pass for 40 euros: More story, an expansion of the map (only the DZ was enlarged), more open-world content.
Instead, the individual DLCs only brought standalone game modes that are separated from the main game. Two months ago we reported that many users complained: “That’s not what we wanted!” People wanted content that drives the game and the story forward, that shapes the agents – not just additional modes that provide temporary nice variety.
Why aren’t the game modes being expanded?
A user on Reddit now points out another grievance that receives much approval: Why isn’t Massive touching these modes anymore?
Underground and Survival were launched, and in the following weeks some bugs and issues were fixed – and that was it. There has not been any fresh wind for these modes so far, no innovations that would make them more interesting. A user writes that it is incomprehensible how one can release two larger DLCs only to let them die immediately afterwards.
From the community, for example for Survival, there were already ideas for expansions before the release: Massive could soon add a Survival mode that fully focuses on “Battle Royale” . After all, such things are well-received in the player community, as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds shows.
However, there are currently no signs that Underground or Survival will receive upgrades. On the contrary: The Underground trader is now worthless. The modes are ruthlessly neglected.
