In The Division, your high-end gear has talents. We present those that are particularly worthwhile for each piece of equipment.
In cooperation, the YouTubers Arekkz Gaming and Skill Up present what they believe to be the best talents for armor in The Division. They assess the usefulness of each talent and provide recommendations on which are most worthwhile for you. Each high-end piece of armor can have a maximum of one talent.
With the gear sets introduced in update 1.1, new items come into play that possess unique talents and are said to be powerful items. Nevertheless, the high-ends remain interesting because their talents allow for various playstyles and numerous variations.
These are the best armor talents in The Division
Arekkz Gaming and Skill Up go over the individual talents of high-end armors and provide their assessment of them. We present those they consider particularly valuable. You should look out for these while farming and crafting. A complete list of all talents of armors in The Division can be found here.
Talents for the Backpacks
- Inventive: When at full health, your skill power is increased by 13%. This is the best talent your backpacks can have, especially for builds that rely on skill power.
- Specialized: 13% of your firearms and stamina will be added to skill power. So if you have high firearm and stamina stats, your skill power will benefit from it as well.
- Relentless: 3% of the damage you deal with your skills will be returned to you as healing. This talent is primarily valuable if your build focuses on skill power, such as in the sticky bomb build of The Division.
Talents for the Vests
- Robust: While you are in cover, you have x% more armor. Since you will often be in cover in The Division, this talent will be very useful.
- Reckless: You deal x% more damage but also receive y% more damage. This talent is not worth it for a tank build, but for damage dealers who want to deal damage from the background, it is all the more worthwhile.
Note: There are reports that the negative effect of this talent is buggy. Instead of receiving y% more damage, it seems that the damage resistance increases by y%. This is not a translation error; the English original also states that you should receive y% more damage.
- Rapid: The cooldown of your healing skills is reduced by x%. Every healing build in The Division will appreciate this talent. If you are the healer in your team, this is a “must-have”.
- Vigorous: All your healing skills allow for “overheal”. This talent is also particularly recommended for healers.
Talents for the Masks
- Enduring: When you are in the last health segment, health regenerates continuously to fill this segment. In critical situations, this talent can be a lifesaver.
- Refreshed: When your health is in the last segment, healing increases by 30%. This talent also helps you escape dangerous moments and save your life.
- Rejuvenated: When you use a medkit, all negative status effects are removed. This can be helpful in both PvE and PvP.
Talents for the Gloves
For gloves, all possible talents are useful, depending on your playstyle and build.
- Reckless: You deal x% more damage, but also receive y% more damage. This is exactly the same talent as for the vests. However, it occurs less frequently with gloves. The benefits remain the same: This talent is not worth it for a tank build, but for damage dealers who want to deal damage from the background, it is all the more worthwhile. The above note applies here as well.
- Savage: Your chance for critical hits increases by 13% when enemies are out of cover. Especially in PvP, this talent is considered “a monster”, but it is also useful in PvE. According to Skill Up, this is potentially the best talent in the game.

- Cunning: After reloading, your next shot has a 9.5% higher chance of being a critical hit. This is said to be a great talent, but not as valuable as the following.
- Astute: The first three bullets of your magazine have a 9.5% higher chance of landing critical hits. Qualification: Highly recommended.
- Decisive: Headshots with your sidearm deal x% more damage. You can rely on this talent if you are playing a tank build with a ballistic shield. Here you will frequently use the sidearm and aim for the enemies’ heads.
Talents for the Knee Pads
- Perspective: This increases your “item find” and “gold find” bonuses by 25%. If you also focus on corresponding bonuses with other armor pieces, you can significantly boost the ragpicker value.
Talents for the Holsters
- Steadfast: While you are in cover, the speed of health regeneration doubles.
These are the talents that the YouTubers recommend for the armor pieces. Keep in mind that other talents may also be beneficial for your individual playstyle. The talents presented are intended to serve as guidance and advice.
