Today, November 11th, marks the start of the second week of the Survival PTS phase for The Division. What is changing?
Since the beginning of the week, PC agents can try out the upcoming changes of Update 1.5 and the Survival DLC on the public test servers and provide feedback. Massive wants to use this phase to ensure a high quality of the update and to bring it to the live servers with as few bugs as possible.
Today marks the beginning of the second week of the PTS. Initial revisions and updates are coming. However, maintenance will take place first. The server downtime is scheduled from 10 AM to 12 PM. After that, the online services will be available again.
Once the servers are live again, the Survival mode will not be playable for a while. Massive wants to direct your focus on the changes of Update 1.5.
The Patch Notes of 1.5 – PTS Week 2
The following changes relate to the PTS, not the live game.
Changes in the Survival Mode:
The enemies were perceived as too weak. Therefore, their lethality will be increased, especially at the beginning of a session:
- Level 28 NPCs: Health +25%, Damage +12.5%
- Level 29 NPCs: Health +16%, Damage +8%
- Level 30 NPCs: Health +8%, Damage +4%
Furthermore, Massive observed that players acquire good items too quickly in the Dark Zone (from Survival). Crafting is happening too quickly. Therefore, fewer crafting materials will drop in the DZ now, high-end crafting is now more expensive, and high-end weapons will require Division Tech to craft. Weapon mods with increased magazine size will also be removed.
Changes to Weapons and Gear:
- The D3-FNC Set will now be renamed to FrontLine.
- Named Gear Pieces can now be obtained in containers earned through experience points. They can also drop in various activities with a certain chance.
- The Swift talent will increase the reload speed bonus from 15% to 25%.
- Light Machine Guns will deal slightly less damage to enemies out of cover at Gear Score 256.
Additionally, there are several bug fixes and further adjustments that you can view in the Ubi Forum.
