Some adjustments are coming to The Division. Stagger will be reduced for all weapons.
The State of the Game just aired on March 23rd. Community Developer Hamish Bode talked mainly about the Invisible Glitch that has been causing chaos in “Last Stand” and in the Dark Zone over the past few days.
This game-breaking glitch was fixed today during maintenance. The server downtime was extended to implement the fix. This problem should now be resolved.
Medkits and Stagger are being revised
Before the first major update 1.7 in Year 2 of The Division, a server-side patch will be implemented that primarily focuses on the first-aid kits. These are expected to improve in the future. This server-side patch, which Massive can bring live “behind the scenes”, will be released before the next client patch, which will also arrive before 1.7. A specific date is not yet available.
The client patch will undergo a PTS phase in advance. These public test servers will be available only to PC agents. The client patch is intended to revise the Agile Talent, which is currently considered too powerful. The healing effect granted by this talent will be transformed from an instant heal to a heal-over-time – it will be slightly nerfed.
Additionally, the client patch brings changes to Stagger. On one hand, Stagger will be completely removed from the air detonation mod of the seeker mine, on the other hand, Stagger will be reduced for all weapons. This will be thoroughly tested and adjusted on the PTS.
More info from the State of the Game:
- The major update 1.7 will also have public test servers for consoles before the launch.
- There are no plans to bring The Division to the Nintendo Switch.
- The NinjaBike backpack needs to be revised. Bode cannot say anything specific yet, but he recommends keeping the items for now and not dismantling them.
- Seeker mine with air detonation mod: Initial damage will be reduced, but the fire effect will deal more damage. Overall damage will remain the same.
- Additionally, there will be changes to the extended magazines and spawn points in Last Stand to prevent spawn camping.
