There is a spring event coming up in The Division. It starts tomorrow, on April 14!
The State of the Game was just on April 13, and even though there was an announcement last week that there would be fewer announcements in the coming weeks, today’s livestream was packed with information. Community developers Hamish Bode and Yannick Banchereau talked about a spring event, loadouts, and Update 1.6.1.
Spring Event Brings More Rewards
The spring event runs during the Easter holidays in The Division and is divided into two phases:
- On April 14 at 10 AM our time, the first phase starts. Every named boss will then drop an extra loot for you for 48 hours if you defeat them – meaning you will receive more loot. Every named boss participates in this event, including those underground, those in the Dark Zone, or the HVTs (High-Value Targets).
- On April 16 at 10 AM, the second phase will replace the first phase. From then on, there will be double supply containers for 48 hours. So if you gather enough XP, there won’t just be one crate, but two.
Update 1.6.1 and Loadouts
Additionally, the developers confirmed that the Update 1.6.1 is still planned for May. There will be a PTS phase on PC beforehand, where the changes will be tested.
There was also a surprising announcement today: Loadouts will be available in the game with Update 1.6.1 in May. They were initially planned for Update 1.7, which is set for summer. According to Massive, they can finish and release this long-awaited feature earlier. With loadouts, you can save your builds and switch between them with one click.
There is no specific date yet for 1.6.1 or the public test servers. In addition to loadouts, the update brings numerous bug fixes and balance adjustments, especially for stagger (which will be reduced), for talents, for the seeker mine, as well as “Last Stand” adjustments and innovations. The complete patch notes are still being worked on. For Last Stand, “Proficiency Marks” are set to be introduced. For instance, if you have the best K/D ratio, it will be displayed, and you will receive extra rewards for it. Furthermore, the Dark Zone map will be adjusted.
