In The Division, you also have a chance for secret gear sets (Classified Gear) after the global event. Here’s how to get them, and here’s the drop chance.
Since August 22, the first global event in The Division has ended. During this event, you could earn GE Credits, exchange them for outbreak containers, and thus have a high probability of obtaining secret gear set pieces.
These secret gear sets have always been known as “Classified Gear” and represent the new best armor pieces in The Division 1.7. Accordingly, they are highly sought after.
Now the global event is over, and no more GE Credits can be earned – so you can’t get secret sets anymore, right? Wrong! We’ll show you how to get them now.
Locations of the secret gear sets – Classified Gear
After a global event, the secret gear sets migrate into several loot pools. This means that from now on, you can farm the classified gear through other means. The dataminer EXEmatt has provided these locations with drop chances in the reddit forum:
- Named bosses in the open world: 3%
- Named bosses in the dark zone: 3%
- Contamination events in the dark zone: 3%
- “Final Assault” containers: 1%
- Survival containers: 1%
- Underground containers: 1%
- Mission Performance containers: 1%
Massive already announced in the weeks leading up to Update 1.7 that you have the best chance for secret gear sets during the global events. The chances during the time between events are very low – as these numbers indicate. Completing a secret gear set this way will likely take quite a bit of time.
By the way: The secret gear sets from the first global event will now remain permanently in the loot pool. The next global event will introduce three more secret gear sets, which will also be added to the loot pool after this event.
In the reddit forum, users agree: The chances of classified gear should be higher, especially for the containers. 1% is really quite low.
