In The Division, the servers are down today, on February 2nd. Maintenance is taking place.
These days, there is little happening in the live game of The Division. The full focus is on the public test servers, where numerous PC agents are roaming and testing the updates of version 1.6 and the expansion “Last Stand”. Massive is keeping a close eye on them and regularly rolling out updates.
However, on Thursdays, the developers also turn their attention to the live game. Today, on February 2nd, the regular maintenance is also taking place.
- It starts at 9:30 AM. The expected server downtime is three hours, so the maintenance will be completed around 12:30 PM. Again: This affects the live servers, not the PTS.
A changelog will not be provided for today. Massive is only making slight adjustments in the background to improve stability.
SEEKR is being removed, Legendary being revised
Meanwhile, work on the PTS is in full swing. The community developer Yannick Bancherau announced the third phase of the PTS, which will bring some adjustments again. Among other things, you will be able to reload during the sprint, the normalization will receive fine-tuning, skill power will be adjusted, weapons, health points, and medkits will be modified.
Especially interesting: Massive took a closer look at the statistics and feedback on the new SEEKR set and decided that it will not be released in its current form. With the PTS phase 3, it will be removed from the game. Initially, it had the effect that two body shots guaranteed a crit shot. Then it was revised so that after two body hits, the next headshot would deal increased damage. But that also was not an optimal solution.
The legendary difficulty will be slightly toned down. With phase 3 of the PTS, a checkpoint will be added about halfway through the mission. Previously, if the entire team died, you had to start completely over.
