Today, on July 6th, the servers for The Division are down. A wall glitch in the Dark Zone is being addressed.
The developers at Massive are tirelessly continuing their mission to make The Division free of bugs, glitches, and problems. Today, extensive maintenance work is taking place.
- At 9:30 AM our time, the servers will be shut down. The expected downtime is three hours, so you can start playing again around 12:30 PM.
This maintenance work only affects the live game servers. Currently, we have no information regarding the public test servers, the PTS.
What is changing today? – Changelog
Massive is not only working behind the scenes on the servers but is also deploying a fix for a problem in the Dark Zone:
- A problem is being fixed that allowed agents to glitch into a wall in DZ02. If you log in this afternoon, this glitch should be fixed.

When will the PTS for consoles start?
For about a week now, PC agents have been on the public test servers to get a preview of the content of update 1.7 . In the weeks and months prior, Massive promised that for the first time, console agents would be able to participate in the PTS.
However:
- For PS4 and Xbox One, only 10,000 agents are allowed to participate, and you can only join if you receive an invitation email.
- The PTS for consoles are still not live. They are expected to go online only with “PTS Phase 2,” once the biggest problems have been resolved.
We expect to learn more about the console-PTS later today. Around 5 PM, we are anticipating the “State of the Game”, the weekly status report from the developers. The responsible community developer Hamish Bode is currently on vacation, but we expect the livestream to take place anyway – or at least an article to be published with new information about the PTS.
