In The Division, the PTS phase ends tomorrow, February 10th. The release of 1.6 and “Last Stand” is now not in the way – or?
The State of the Game took place on February 9th, the weekly status report from Massive. Community Developer Hamish Bode talked with a developer from Red Storm about the PTS and especially about the upcoming PvP mode “Last Stand”.
Information from the State of the Game on February 9th
The most important information first: Tomorrow, February 10th, the public test servers, the PTS, will be shut down. After weeks of testing, enough data and feedback have now been collected to give the update 1.6 and the Last Stand DLC its final touches. There is no specific time yet for the end of the PTS.
And when will the update 1.6 and “Last Stand” go live now? There is still no fixed answer to this question at the moment. The developers still have a lot of work ahead, according to Bode. As soon as a release date is set, they will announce it. Just a few weeks ago, Community Developer Yannick Bancherau hastily posted February 28th as the release date. However, this information was taken offline and silenced after just a few minutes.
More information:
- The PTS has been incredibly useful for the developers. They received a lot of constructive feedback. They thank the community.
- The submachine guns are getting the critical hit chance bonus back. This change affects all SMGs – including those you already own.
- Before the release, they will still put a lot of work into the update and the DLC: The individual skills will be adjusted in “Last Stand”, as will the consumables upon respawn, and they will also reexamine the turret placements.
- You will still be able to reload while sprinting.
- Additionally, many agents are currently complaining about lag. Massive is currently investigating server performance.
