What is happening in Manhattan? As has been the case for the past few months, developer Massive has published its roadmap for November in The Division and The Division 2. Among other things, you can expect a new Shield and another Global Event.
While many continue to wait for any new information about The Division 2, some players from The Division 1 are still roaming New York.
There are still veterans and newcomers hunting for loot there. If you belong to that group, the plan for November might interest you. Here’s what is happening this month in The Division.
New Shield “Fang” sends you on legendary missions
What are Shields? These are in-game achievements that can unlock rewards for The Division 1 and 2. There are a total of 12 Shields, with a new one appearing every month until the release of The Division 2.
This is the new Shield “Fang”: Your task is to complete all missions on the legendary difficulty level. The Shield starts on November 8.
But I’ve already completed all on Legendary, do I have to play them again? This Shield is not retroactive. Even if you have already completed all missions on Legendary, you will have to play them again.
Global Event Onslaught makes enemies suffer with status effects
The next Global Event will be a repeat of Onslaught. The event revolves around bleeding, shock, and fire damage.
What are Global Events? These are events that run for a week and turn different gameplay elements upside down during that time. While they are active, GE-Credits can be earned, which can be used to purchase special containers.
In these, you will find coveted parts of the Classified sets. Each event has a specific selection of these sets. Additionally, there are special masks for each event.
When does the Global Event start? The Onslaught begins on November 19 at 9 a.m. and runs until November 28 at 9 a.m.
These are the modifiers for the Global Event Onslaught:
- Onslaught (Always active): In addition to your damage, you cause “On Fire”, “Bleeding Wound”, and “Disoriented” effects, which you can change by reloading.
- Savage Onslaught (In addition to Onslaught): Certain effect types deal more damage to your enemies while they are resistant to others. Resistant enemies deal more damage.
- Brutal Onslaught (In addition to Onslaught and Wild Onslaught): If your teammates kill an enemy within 2 seconds, you receive a damage bonus on your next reload, marked by a skull.
These are the secret gear sets of the Global Event:
- Predator – A build that makes your enemies bleed
- Reclaimer – A must-have build for all healers
- Lonely Hero – A strong DPS build for LMG and shotgun fans
- FireCrest – With this set, you burn your enemies

What else is coming in November?
Between the larger events, there are always some smaller extra events that usually bring more loot. This will also be the case in November.
This is in addition to Shield, Global Event, and Dev Blog:
- Double XP event from November 16 to 18
- Double supply crates from November 30 to 31
- Both events start at 9 a.m. and end at 9 a.m. as well.
New information about The Division 2
Since September, Massive has been publishing a Dev Blog entry about The Division 2 every month. These entries delve into the content and provide new information.
What is the blog about? The first entry focused on weapons, exotics, and weapon mods and weapon talents, and the second dealt with the True Sons, a brutal hostile faction.
When will the next entry be published and what will it be about? The next entry will be published on November 29, and what it will be about is still unknown.
