Tonight marks the beginning of the third phase of the public test server (PTS) for 1.6 for The Division with good news: You will soon be able to have more than double the amount of Phoenix Credits in your inventory.
The “State of the Game” just aired on 2.2. In it, the developers announced a new feature that many agents will be pleased about: The “Phoenix Credits” cap will be increased from 2000 to 5000. With the update 1.6, you will be able to carry more than double the PCs with you than before.
According to Massive, this “Quality of Life” change has long been requested by the community, which is why they now want to implement this request.
Patch Notes for PTS Phase 3 to 1.6 and Last Stand
The rest of the stream covered the PTS Phase 3, which will go live today around 6 PM. This brings some changes and bug fixes. We highlight the key points:
- The Survival Mode will be available. Changes will also be tested in this mode.
- There are several changes to the “Last Stand” mode, including that you will now receive 5 medkits with every respawn. Additionally, normalization is being revised: The “Armor-Damage-Mitigation” will be significantly reduced from 70% to 35%, resulting in bullets dealing more damage. Furthermore, all weapon stats are normalized, for example, all snipers now have the same headshot damage bonus. Higher and lower bonuses will no longer be normalized.
- Damage resistance will be capped at 60%.

- In addition, there are numerous adjustments to weapons, gear sets, and skills. The most significant change is that the SEEKR set will be completely removed. Not only for the PTS but also for update 1.6 for the live game. The set will return later in a significantly revised form.
- Also, checkpoints will be implemented at the Legendary difficulty, and some NPCs will drop more guaranteed consumables and medkits.
- The contamination events will also be revised: More veteran flamethrowers and rushers will appear.

Massive has already announced that there will be many, many changes in the future before 1.6 and Last Stand are released.
