The MMO shooter The Division is receiving a series of bad reviews on Steam: The biggest complaints are about performance and connection issues.
User reviews, as we know them from Amazon or Steam, are a double-edged sword. On one hand, they provide an overview of how a product is received by customers; on the other hand, they often do not necessarily give a rating or opinion about the product but rather focus on the circumstances.
A perfectly installed kitchen might only get 3 stars because “The shipping took way too long and I saw it cheaper with another provider afterwards.”
Many negative reviews are related to servers or performance
The fate of the kitchen currently affects “The Division.” On Steam, numerous negative reviews are coming in. Currently, there are 3135 positive reviews against 2283 negative ones. It usually comes down to: “I can’t install this“; another reason for the negative reviews is disconnects, occurring lags, or audible anger towards “Ubisoft, Ubiplay, Ubiserver” in any order.
The situation in which many reviews are being created seems to be: One is playing peacefully and having fun, gets disconnected from the game, cannot log back in, and writes an angry Steam review. Other points of criticism: Pre-order items cannot be claimed and the game is “buggy.”
The positive reviews praise the atmosphere and gameplay of the game. The visuals of The Division regarding graphics and sound also receive extra praise from many. Some of the positive reviews address the negative ones and say: People, the first days of a game are always like this. Take a breath.
Press reviews, which will likely focus more on the game and less on the servers, are expected in the coming days. The press had little time to test The Division.
