Shields – the New Achievements
What are the Shields? With the new patch, the highly anticipated Shields make their way into The Division. These new achievements are intended to provide various smaller rewards for the agents.
4 out of a total of 12 Shields will come with 1.8.2, the rest will be released on a monthly rhythm.
The special feature: We should also receive rewards in The Division 2. In what form, we still have to find out.
These are the first Shields and their requirements:
- Shepard: Unlock the Operations Center
- Hazard: Clear 25 landmarks in the Dark Zone
- DeadEye: Complete all high-profile targets of a week
- Avenger: Kill 10 named bosses in the Light Zone, Dark Zone, and the West Side Piers
The first 4 Shields are deliberately kept simple, as a kind of warm-up program for returnees.
New Legendary Missions
Agents can also look forward to two new legendary missions. The
- General Assembly
- and the Madison Field Hospital
will be available today at the highest difficulty level of The Division. Officially, there will be no others.
Balance Changes to the Most Powerful Gear Sets
With the update, some of the strongest gear sets will be revised again, as they are considered too strong.
The 6-piece bonuses of the Secret Nomad and Predator will be adjusted.

Measures Against CronusMax and Simultaneous Balance Change for the Striker
A new cooldown during the aiming process is intended to make rapid firing with shotguns more difficult for the Striker, additionally, the cooldown should make life harder for CronusMax users.
This change is therefore meant to weaken the very strong Secret Striker and take precautions against Cronus users.
The Division: “Referral Program”
For a while now, there has been the “Referral Program” for The Division. In this PC-exclusive program, you can invite friends to New York and receive exclusive emotes and premium credits in return.

The new outfits of the Mark-IV containers: New outfits for the premium vendor of The Division are also included again. In addition to the usual skins, 5 new outfits await you.
