Massive has revealed the next step on how they want to fix the MMO shooter: With “Public Test Servers” for The Division.
Last week, the developers announced that the 1.4 update will bring significant changes in October. To involve the community in the development process, a dedicated section was opened in the Ubi forum, where surveys and discussion rounds will take place regularly. Massive wants to hear directly from the agents how they would solve specific issues. Transparency and community involvement are currently the focus with The Division.
Furthermore, in the coming days, community representatives will be invited to Sweden to discuss directly with developers as “Elite Task Force”. Massive is taking steps to obtain constructive feedback and communicate outwardly: “Yes, we want to improve The Division – together with you!” Previously, they stated with unprecedented openness, that your game is currently not fun.
Test Update 1.4 before it releases
Now Massive reports that after the announcement of 1.4, many fans suggested that agents could test the update before its release. In the past, updates and expansions have brought numerous bugs, exploits, and other problems that caused frustration.
And the developers want to take this opportunity now: “In the near future,” public test servers will go live, but only for the PC version. On these servers, players can try out the 1.4 update in advance.
According to Massive, details will follow in the coming days. However, they want to announce this news as early as possible. As mentioned: Transparency is the new motto.
