A new farming method is circulating on the internet for The Division. It is so effective that Massive will likely have to respond soon.
Since update 1.4, loot is raining down in The Division: Every enemy you encounter can drop relevant items. By earning experience points, you earn sealed containers, and at the end of each activity, there are hefty rewards – no one can really complain about lacking items.
Nevertheless, after updates 1.4 and 1.5, numerous farming methods were developed that promised: “This is how you can get an incredible amount of items in no time!” “Play this mission or that raid with this character setup, and you’ll be swimming in loot!” Whether such tricks are really necessary is up for each player to decide for themselves.
Some methods are not always intended by Massive: For example, Bullet King returned in December, but the developers quickly put it in its place with a fix. Now there’s a new farming glitch that likely requires intervention from Massive.
When experience points flow
This particular glitch involves a story mission, a turret, and a special character setup. We will not detail how to execute this glitch here.
The glitch causes the glitcher to simply restart the mission continuously, while experience points flow in abundantly. It sounds boring and monotonous – which it is – but it promises over 500 items per hour.
What does the community say?
Many agents are surprised on reddit: They expected just another video about the “new farming method” for Lincoln Tunnel. But this glitch is “next level cheese”.
Therefore, many also demand that Massive eliminate this glitch as soon as possible. So far, we have not received any statement from the developers, but if they do not schedule an unscheduled server maintenance, there is a chance to implement a fix as early as next Thursday.
