In The Division, a new system is being tested that rewards you with more experience. Update 1.4 is on the home stretch.
Yesterday (on 13.10.) there was no livestream from the developers, but an article was published with some changes that will be implemented in week 4 of the PTS phase. We have already summarized the patch notes for this.
A further piece of information has come to light: This weekend, the developers want to test a new system that allows them to reward agents with double XP gains over a certain period. Your task is to closely observe this system and provide feedback on how it feels and whether it works flawlessly.
One might not be too far out on a limb to predict that “Double XP” weekends will become a part of The Division in the future.
With Update 1.4, experience points will also become valuable in the endgame. Every time you fill the XP bar, you will receive a Sealed Container. This feature is called “Field Proficiency” and will be introduced as part of the new loot system.

- The ballistic shield received several bug fixes at the beginning of week 4 of the PTS. Since this skill is significant for the new aggro system, it is a high priority that the ballistic shield functions flawlessly.
- There is still no concrete release date for Update 1.4. While we want to deliver it as early as possible, we also aim to provide the best possible quality.
- With Update 1.4, named weapons will be adjusted to the maximum gear score, but they will not be overhauled otherwise. Massive asks you to send in your suggestions. The door is definitely open for future updates.
