In The Division, there are items that exceed the “maximum level” of 30. We take a look at the Level 31 items.
In the endgame of The Division, it’s all about improving and upgrading the agents’ weapons and armor. The max level of your Division agents is 30; a higher level cannot currently be reached. However, there are items in the game that exceed this level 30 limit.
How do I recognize a Level 31 item in The Division?
That level 30 can be exceeded in The Division should be clear to all agents who have encountered enemies in the endgame, for instance in the northern part of the Dark Zone or in Challenge Mode: These NPCs can even reach level 32. There are also items for Division agents that are above level 30.
What actual level your items have is a bit hidden; it is not displayed directly when you select an item. The number shown in large on the top right of the screen, which can currently reach a maximum of 30, can be misleading:
To find the actual level of your items, you must scroll down on the item. Only there will the “Item Level” be displayed, or for blueprints, the “Power Level”. Below that is the required level that your agent needs to equip the item. This is currently a maximum of 30, and that number is what is displayed at the top right as “Level”.
How to get Level 31 items in The Division
There are various ways to acquire Level 31 items. Especially the Phoenix Credits play an important role:
- There is a Phoenix Credits vendor in the Dark Zone and one in the Operations Base. The items and blueprints these vendors sell grant you Level 31 items. The items from most other vendors are at most “only” level 30.
- A notable exception is the Advanced Weapons Vendor in the Security Wing of the Operations Base. He also sells Level 31 items, such as the high-end weapon Cassidy. He gives them to you in exchange for credits.
- In the Dark Zone, there is a chance for these high-level items if you defeat enemies at level 31 or 32. However, obtaining high-ends at level 31 this way is extremely tedious and inefficient. The chances of such a drop are very low. By
