The Closed Beta of The Division allowed some PC players to test graphic mods on Ubisoft’s upcoming MMO shooter. The results are impressive.
We recently reported on the graphics of The Division. Apparently, for some, even the ultra settings on PC were not enough: with the now first graphic mod adapted for The Division, the game is supposed to look even “sharper”.
Graphic mods serve the purpose of enhancing the gaming experience with even better, sharper graphics. They often improve light effects, make shadows more realistic, or allow for a wider view into the distance.
SweetFX is the shader tweaking tool that has already delivered excellent results with GTA 5 and Star Wars Battlefront and is now applied to The Division.
The setting was developed by Xenthor and already showcases impressive results. You can see for yourself in the following video what fruits this graphic mod bears:
It is currently unclear whether such a tool will be allowed at lunch. But if one were to interpret Ubisoft’s latest statements, no mods will be allowed on PC.
