Recently, the latest State of the Game aired for The Division and Massive announced a date for the next Global Event “Assault”. They also discussed the planned patch and changes for the secret Striker set, which is considered the most powerful set in the current The Division.
As suspected after the last State of the Game, the next Global Event will start next week. On July 30th, “Assault” will go live. Additionally, Massive confirmed once again that the “Running in Place” bug is to be fixed.
The secret Striker is also on the list and is to be adjusted in the future.

Which Classified sets can be purchased during the Global Event in the containers? During this event, you can look forward to the secret Watcher’s Call-, the Striker-, and the Reclaimer-set.
These are the modifiers for the Global Event:
- Global Modifier: Agents deal increased damage at close range to enemies.
- Activities Modifier: Enemies deal increased damage to you at long range.
- Group Modifier: Stay close together to deal more damage.
While the Global Modifier is always active, you can optionally enable the other two modifiers during certain activities. You will receive additional rewards upon successful completion.
No current information on upcoming changes
Patch for the bug is in progress – but no one knows when it will be released: Unfortunately, Massive has no information about the “Running in Place” bug or changes to the secret Striker. However, one can safely say that a patch for the bug fix is in progress.
They will also fix additional bugs. Which ones exactly will be announced at a later time.
Classified Striker is being revised: After they announced last week that they are taking a closer look at the secret Striker, one can now at least safely say that changes are in progress. The Striker is also viewed as too strong by the developers.
It is certain that no PTS is planned for the upcoming patch. This was also confirmed in the State of the Game.
Further information from the State of the Game:
- In the server maintenance that took place this morning, the faulty commendation “Fast Mover” was fixed, which is part of the upcoming Global Event.
- The free Underground Week is over; further such actions are possible. However, currently, there are no plans to make the DLCs permanently available for free.
